I am trying to access the Ignition designer/launcher remotely, using port-forwarding. Port-forwarding has been setup to forward ports 8088/8043 to the remote ignition gateway. I can access the gateway web interface by going to 127.0.0.1:8088, so I know that is working. I downloaded the designer.jnlp from the gateway webpage, and because I’m using port-forwarding remotely, I modified the. The Vision Client Launcher opens Vision Clients from any Ignition Gateway. The launcher browses all Gateways for Vision projects that are available on your local network and remote locations. Once your Vision projects are added to the Vision Client Launcher, they will be displayed under My Applications and organized by Gateway.

[00:00] Ignition's client login screen can be modified in a couple of ways, namely, the username, password and login text, and the information up at the top left corner of the screen. To do this, we're going to go into our Designer, and into the Project, Properties screen, and, under Client, Login, you can see, here's all the information that we can fill in. Now, for my Welcome message, I can say something like, 'Welcome to the best project you've ever seen'. I can grab some Welcome image from our Image Library. I'm going to go into our Builtin, and then to Icons, to our 48 by 48, and grab one of these pictures, here. For my Username Text, I'm going to change it to, 'Enter your Username'. And the same for the password. And 'Click to Login'. In addition to that, I will show the locale selector, which means that if you have any different locale set-up, you can choose many different languages. And now that I have all that, I'm going to hit Okay, and I'm going to Save my project. And if I open up a new client, here, then it will take me into the new login screen. And there we are. Our new image, the new text, including the html that we've pasted in there, and the new information on your username, password and login button.

Ignition clients are totally cross-platform: They run on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and with the Ignition Perspective Module, clients can also run on iOS and Android. Whether on a laptop or mobile device, Ignition can go anywhere you need, to get the data you want. The Native Client Launcher can be found on the Ignition Gateway Webpage. Once you download the executable make note of the directory it is in for the next step. For this example we placed the Native Client Launcher on the desktop. A batch file will need to be created in order to launch our multiple instances of the client.

On May 6th, 2020 we will be updating our Ignition version. Due to changes made by Inductive Automation, you will need to download a new Client launcher. After the upgrade, your current Client launcher will not be supported. Mobile.tanklogix.com access will be unaffected.

Maintenance is currently planned for6 hours on 5/6/20at 7:00pm CDT to 5/7/20 at 1:00am CDT. During this period, you may experience degraded Ignition performance.
